Elle is a well-known executive matchmaker with years of industry experience and a reputation for genuine, personalized service. Ready to launch her own brand, she approached us to create a digital presence that reflects her warmth, credibility, and distinct approach to modern matchmaking.
The Problem
Elle lacked a digital presence that truly represented her brand and services. Without a website, she faced limited visibility and credibility—making it difficult to attract her ideal clients or scale her business with confidence.

Research & Discovery
Stakeholder Interview
To better understand Elle’s vision, I conducted a one-on-one interview with her to uncover both functional needs and brand values. What stood out immediately was that the website wasn’t just a marketing tool—it was the gateway to her deeply personal matchmaking process.

What makes Elle unique is her hands-on approach: she personally meets every woman in her roster, often joining them on their first date. This level of investment sets her apart in the matchmaking world.

Elle also emphasized a desire for a brand that felt feminine yet modern, sleek, and timeless. She wanted the application process to feel effortless and elegant—because in her words, “the service is me.” The site had to reflect her personality and prestige while keeping the user journey simple and refined
Competitive Analysis
I conducted a competitive analysis of modern matchmaking platforms and concierge-style dating services. I wanted to see what was missing. I focused on exclusive high caliber dating sites, Spindel, Luma, Exclusive Matchmaking, RAYA, & The Leauge.
I was able to identify common pain points:
  • Focuses primarily on male clients, which may limit the pool of women applicants.
  • High pricing and limited accessibility for a broader audience.
  • Many promised exclusivity, few delivered on personalization or emotional intelligence.
This revealed a clear opportunity: a brand and platform that feels high-touch, human, and tailored at every step.
Sitemap Creation
To keep the focus on Elle and her unique matchmaking process, I designed a minimal and intuitive sitemap. The goal was to guide users quickly and clearly to the application form without unnecessary distractions. Since Elle herself is the core of the brand, the site acts as a streamlined introduction—highlighting her approach, building trust, and encouraging users to apply with ease.
DESIGN PROCESS
Building her brand
The first step was crafting Elle’s visual identity. She described her ideal brand as feminine, timeless, and modern. I designed a fluid, cursive logo paired with a subtle heart icon—symbolizing her role in finding true love. Matched by Elle became not just a service, but a personal brand.
For the website, I drew inspiration from editorial layouts—clean, minimal, and story-driven. The design mimicked the feel of a luxury magazine or newspaper, positioning Elle as the headline: the expert, the matchmaker, the brand.

This was my first official freelance project, and it taught me a great deal about working one-on-one with a client to shape a personal brand from the ground up. I started with my own wireframes and built the final site directly in Wix, which gave me hands-on experience across every stage of the design process.

Through this project, I discovered a real passion for branding and storytelling—especially when it comes to translating someone’s personality into a digital experience.

A full redesign is already planned for August 2025, and I’m excited to continue evolving the brand as Elle’s business grows.
